Wednesday, Thursday Holiday Weekend Coming

 

Went to grocery store and everything is out...especially ice cream.  Will make another stop after a doctor appointment.

Today I could not spend much time crafting.  Doctor appointment, grocery shopping.  I have to go out of town for doctor appointment, so much of my day is gone.

I have days that zoom by and that is today.

When in a time crunch, I go to my embossing folders. Lately I have been using Country Floral by Stampin' Up!.  Another embossing folder.  Yes, I have many, to many...but I love them...and use them.  Make quick cards that are unique.

I always have 4" x 5-1/4" classic white precut for card fronts and also for inside the card when using a color cardstock

I also now take and cut lots with the deckle die set using the second largest die.

I use many of these to emboss for card fronts.  I use the sponge dauber to add a bit of color, lightly touching the embossing.

Finally I get the look I was striving to have....after many attempts.

Poppy parade, Garden Green ink on basic white.  The base is poppy parade, a color I have come to love.  The brightest brings the card to give happiness and joy.

Yes the deckle dies...my go to. I use them often.

The above photo shows how I store sets I use alot.  Yes, that is a Paper Pumpkin box turned inside out.  I keep the stamp set, dies and precut all in the box.

Monday Card with Cheerful Daisies

 

So, life has changed so much in the past year.  Many health issues and family members passing.  Usually I stop making cards...this time I pushed myself to keep creating. I am glad I did.  My oldest  brother past in May....after 7 months of dealing health.  He was a wonderful brother, he suffered greatly into I did not want to do anything.   I would make bases one day, die cuts another than stamp....I did it like every other day...it truly helped me dealing with all the sadness and pain

 

The above shows the same technique I showed June 19.  This time I used stampin' spots to apply color and spritz.  I used Melon Mambo and Calypso Coral. Love these colors.

Than after being dried, it took about a hour.  Then applied the daisy outline of large daisy, I used black.  Than center dot.  

I used a sentiment from a recent Paper Pumpkin.

I also stamped matching envelopes

Cheerful Daisies is so much fun, I needed it at this time.

Friday! Happy Friday! Yes it has been some week....enjoy the weekend.

Cards made plus More.....not in photo...needed to send...

 This week seems to be a longer one.   First, the weather.  Yep, High Humidity is hard on  me.  I have severe Arthritis and it does not like me.

Arthritis is the swelling and tenderness of one or more joints. The main symptoms of arthritis are joint pain and stiffness, which typically worsen with age. The most common types of arthritis are osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. I have Osteoarthritis

Osteoarthritis causes cartilage — the hard, slippery tissue that covers the ends of bones where they form a joint — to break down

So here I am doing what I can do....

Below are simple cards, using various DSP, which means, Designer Series Paper.  Using comes in 12 x 12 or 6x6...

You will see I use embossing folders alot...love them to give new dimension to your cards.

Yes, creating thinking of you cards

The background with light blue and varied blues is from the sheet of paper I did yesterday.

I actually made 4 card front for this sheet of watercolor blues.

I  cut the above sheet into two 4" Stripes by 11"

Than I took the strip and cut into 5-1/4"

Ending with four 4" by 5-1/4" card front layers.

The  Stamp Set is old, vintage or retired...I call them collectors cause they are retired and no longer available...this set from 2007.  One big stamp.

 It is very hot here, to hot.

Making the best of a bad situation.  I have many cards to make.  Thinking of You Cards, those often forgotten, the elderly in nursing homes and assisted living, plus home bound.  Brighten someone's day, send a card to bring sunshine to lonely days.

Yes, this is the same technique I used on June 19th post.

I used various blues.

Yes, blues and greens are my go to colors 💙 

So I used the lighter side as you see....

Then I did a sheet in yellows

I cut the flowers that went over the first layer.

I colored the center in safron yellow and leaves in Granny green.

I cut the leaves from paper left over from card of June 19th.

Many more to create.....

Daisies everywhere with Cheerful Daisies

 

I love daisies of all kinds.  The above photo is from the plants I potted.  I am so thankful I was able to get them and the dirt.  Yes, simple but I have had many health issues that I can not do what I want to do when I want to do it.

This is why I do my card making in spurts.  I can not do it all it all in one sitting.  I am thrilled to create cards everyday.  I especially get excited with new stamp sets and dies.  I have several new releases and I will be sharing them.

 Today is a cloudy

Good day to get some cards done.  Slowly using Cheerful Daisies bundle.  A bundle is a stamp set and dies, when purchased as a bundle you save 10%.   This bundle you can use the dies alone also...such a great set.

 

Sadly the dies are sold out but good news...available July 3...yep in a few weeks.
